What to expect on the first visit
Your chiropractor may be treating your back pain, neck pain, headache, or other aches and pains, but he needs a complete picture of your health history and overall current health in order to provide the best possible treatment for you. On the initial visit, Dr. Butkus will take a comprehensive medical history and perform a thorough physical examination of your area of complaint. This will be followed by a report of findings in which the chiropractor will provide you with an explanation for your diagnosis, inform you of any intended chiropractic treatments, provide you with the proposed plan of management, and offer you an opportunity to ask any questions which you may have. If you are comfortable with the chiropractor's plan of management and have no further concerns or questions, treatment will begin immediately. Typically, initial assessments last approximately one hour. Future visits focus almost entirely on treatment and are much shorter, usually lasting approximately 20 minutes in length.

Helpful tips for your first appointment
If possible, it is recommended that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your first appointment. This allows you time to complete the intake paperwork and helps ensure that your appointment will start at the appropriate time. Also, it is a good idea to wear comfortable clothes to the appointment to help with movement during the physical exam. For upper body conditions, clothing should allow access to the neck and shoulder regions and for lower body conditions (low back/hip/knee,) clothing should allow access to the knee and below. Also, Dr. Butkus always encourages you to ask any questions you have at any point during your first visit!

New Patient Intake Forms
For your convenience, we are pleased to offer you the ability to print and complete our chiropractic patient intake forms prior to your first visit. Doing so helps save time in the office and allows you to thoroughly complete the forms at your own pace. If you do not have access to a printer, it is recommended you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment so you can complete the forms at our office.

Parking
Free two hour street parking is available nearby on Wellington St., Sydenham St., or Hellmuth Ave. Parking is also available behind the white Susan J Fashions women's clothing store. Parking at the Valu-Mart parking lot is not recommended as it is a private lot which is patrolled daily.
